Information Systems Development Project Flexibility: A Paradoxical Relationship between Environmental Changes and Project Team Responses

The results of this study suggest that while business changes are more prevalent than technology changes during information systems development projects (ISDPs), project teams are less efficient in handling business changes than technology changes. To improve ISDP performance, project teams must increase their capabilities of managing business changes.
